  Went into the shop twice with no problems choose the wood burner, hearth and discussed where the wood burner would be installed. We were told we would have to have a survey conducted to make sure it was feasible to put the wood burner where we wanted it. Total estimated cost just under £4000. We were called the next day by a lady who had a date and time for us which was Wednesday at 11 oclock in 2 weeks time. The woodburner is to go in an extention that only has walls and roof timbers, due to the rain its very muddy. When we arrived at 10.40 the surveyor had already spoken to the builders and had got back in his van and was leaving. We asked if he was waiting for us and he informed us that he had all of the information he needed from the builders. I asked if he would like to come and explain what had been discussed with us, after all I was going to be the one paying for the woodburner and nothing had been discussed with the builders about one. The surveyor told us we had to have a 2.5 meter flu which was fine, he then told us we would need a metal tube built into the roof before it was roofed. I asked if Trowmans would need to fit this of if the builders could He said they would have to but would not be able to for 3 weeks. I asked what would happen if the roof was on and he said they wouldn't be able to do it and marched out slamming the front door behind him. I phoned the shop to see if I could get an explanation but no luck. Save yourself some time and effort go elsewhere.
